ADDENDUM: You will find a few extensive IP ranges belonging to corporate enterprises and one vast (potentially expanding) range belonging to 'Proximic'. These are commercial robots, scraping and using the information for own financial benefit without giving anything back to the Internet community nor site owners. By default such robots are blocked. Proximic has hundereds if not thousands of IP addresses and appears to be working (directly or indirectly) with Google and if related to or with Google ads on web pages, there is no information linking the two companies, nor is Proximic a Media-partner. Magestic has also started opting for multiple IP approaches but not cycling through them at the rate Proximic does. All in all a troubling situation as far as this Internet security officer is concerned. Another potential problem of the hyped 'cloud computing - data center' environment, more information about this here.
